But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator is more, I'd expect higher quality.

Apart from that minor flaw the fridge is a great option. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Additionally, it holds a good amount of frozen food when as compared to similar models.

Inside the fridge, you'll find 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is on par for a French door refrigerator that costs this much. It also has an adequate-sized icemaker that is tucked away in the left door, but it's not the largest I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to create customized storage layout for the items you need to store. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting is an appealing feature. The storage bins in the door come with a third shelf that can be folded down to store tall items. The drawers come with temperature controls so you can set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, although I found their textured plastic coatings to be a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range with Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and has many options for customizing. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked and when the fridge or freezer requires defrosting, and when the filter needs to be changed.

It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill which is an option that is available in a few other GE refrigerators that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to dispense at once. The fridge shows a countdown to display how much water is left, but it's not as effective as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a striking piece. It's designed to look like a seamless piece of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also comes with a veggie compartment that helps keep vegetables and fruits fresher longer and has dual compressors to ensure maximum food preservation. The Ice maker is among the top we've tested and produces a pyramid-shaped ice that is low in water usage. This fridge is the perfect option for households with a single member or kitchenettes that want a built-in look and top of the line food preservation.

This fridge was rated as the most efficient in our Refrigerators Test for a variety of reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never fluctuated more than a fraction - this is essential to avoid freezing burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, reaching the temperature that was set for the initial setting within a matter of hours and keeping that temperature steady throughout the course of our testing.

Inside, the fridge has an ordinary french door style fridge freezer-door design with gallon-sized door bins on each door, two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set of more spacious drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded to provide more space for taller items. There's also a full-width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the nice aspects of this refrigerator is that its ice maker is inside the freezer, making it easy to transfer ice into the fridge to use as needed. The freezer also has thoughtful design features, such as sliding drawers that help you organize your belongings. It also has a large container for storing frozen food and a separate bin for ice.

Another cool feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It lets you control the temperature of your fridge and lighting using your smartphone. It's a simple way to keep track of your refrigerator and manage it, particularly when you're not at home.

It's also a bit cheaper than the best counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which makes it a desirable choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice for those looking for a French-door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a simple fridge which may not be as appealing as its rivals, but it still has enough features to make it a an excellent option. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food like vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also has a large water dispenser and a decent Ice machine that is fast.

The "Chill Drawer", which is located over the two crisper bins, is another excellent feature. The drawer lets you redirect a portion of your fridge's cooling power to the area so that you can keep food items that require special attention. You can adjust this feature using the slider located on the outside of the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling setting for the entire fridge though I've found that adjusting the generic settings tends to have a better effect than specific ones.

In my tests, the temperature of the refrigerator were fairly constant across the different areas of the fridge. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge did not vary much from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a great performance however it doesn't rank among the best french style fridge freezer uk in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to an intelligent thermometer to get more precise readings of your fridge's internal temperature.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge proof" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
