Item upgrades can be used to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it can boost the rarity of an item or mark Level and increase other stats.

Each Best item upgrader comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specified amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increase when it is upgraded. This value is the sum of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrading items can be expensive depending on the upgrader and what type of upgrade you choose to make. This is due to the number of perks that must be changed in order to upgrade an item.

The level of an item is a commonly used measurement of power and is visible on all tooltips of items. It also serves to determine a gating condition when waiting to queue for dungeons and scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear (since PvP is restricted to an lower level). Item Stats

Players can choose to upgrade an item by a specific stat, or reroll the affixes. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However every item will include at least one stat in the same range, unless it's an item upgrader mod that is unique or the item is a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

This is another thing that could be changed by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to increase. As with base equipment, it must be done per item, and the item comparison interface would not display all the possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the likelihood of locating items, the properties that are created by loot and the strength of these properties. It doesn't, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with the chance to upgrade gear earlier in the game. This is particularly useful in early game runs because players tend to put weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to confuse with the Blacksmith’s overall chance of upgrading, which increase with each item level. They can also be increased by using anti-materials, such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons have an initial Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to give +40 Luck or to boost the luck of an item level upgrade up to 140.

Furthermore some items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be used to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items are available in the shop or crafted with the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. Cash shop items can be used to boost the success rate of an upgrade or to stop players from losing their item if it does not work.

When you upgrade an item the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special materials. The percentage of success can only be increased by so much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..

The success of an upgrades is also influenced by the Luck of that item. All items have an initial success rate of 25% and every item that has Luck increases the chance of success by an additional 5%.

The item upgrade overlays are rendered above the items in the inventory. This may cause obscurity to enchantment effects or other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
