It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of an area.

It's still a great option for those who want to save money on an Roomba from iRobot and have a bare-floored home or office. It's also quiet and operates when you're at work or in school. The only thing it doesn't have that you don't get in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. And it's less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes that don't stay on for long and don't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle however. And, if you have to, you can switch the mopping pad to a dry one in just a few seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into an elegant, compact package. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient at dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also comes with a self-emptying dustbin, powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best automatic vacuum robot automatic hoover for carpets but it isn't as effective as some of its competitors in terms of deep cleaning.

It's one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can completely autonomously refill and empty its base station and boasts an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to use. It has a simple mobile app interface that integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in the mornings prior to work or during the night when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive but not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally powerful and more attractive. If you're willing to put up with a bit more noise and a little more cost, this is a very capable two-in-one that should please almost everyone.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
