World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades can be used to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade you choose, it may increase an item's Rarity or Mark Level and increase other stats.

Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a specific amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increase when it is upgraded. This is the sum of the perks that are leveled up (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrading items can be expensive, dependent on the upgrader and the kind of upgrade you decide to make. This is due to how many perks must be replaced in order for the item to get upgraded.

Item level is a popular measure of power, and can be seen on all tooltips for items. It can also be used to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear as PvP is restricted at lower levels. Players can view their average item level in their character sheet.

Using the item level will allow players to compare the power of equipment when they decide to buy or sell. It's a sign of the item's damage and its quality. The item level can also be used to evaluate items when examining the inventory of a seller.

The level of the item can be checked by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the full description of the item, including its value. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are several theories on how the calculation of the item level upgrade's level is done. One theory is that the level is a numerical value derived from a formula which calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration that different advantages are valued differently and that gems in the sockets increase the item's value. This can result in a calculated item's ilvl that is typically very close to Blizzard's actual item level.

However, this is not the only factor that can affect an item's ilvl because the size of the area the item is dropped into can alter the value of its stats, for instance by adding an amount to its haste or crit rating. Items dropped in higher-level instances will have a higher ilvl.

Item Stats

The stats of an item upgrader mod are a major part of what makes or breaks an item for players. The game uses a variety of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the Best item upgrade." The base stats of a weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat mods which are then increased by the player's skill.

Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats on the item. The rarity of an item determines the cost of upgrading. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, while an item with rare tiers can be upgraded many times, at higher costs.

Affixes can also be used to change an item's stats. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. Affixes are used to give items additional damage, special capabilities (such as the ability to revive dead or reduce cooling downs) or to make them unique by putting a name on them.

All affixes are re-rolled at the moment by selecting them in the upgrade window, and pressing the green button. It will cost a set amount in gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges similar to other rerolling methods.

Players can choose to upgrade an item with a specific stat or reroll attaches. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However each item will include at least one stat within the same range, unless it's an exclusive item or the item is a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

This is another thing that can be modified by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes or deciding which stats to boost. But, like base equipment, this would need to be performed on a per-item basis and the item compare interface wouldn't show all possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the chance of finding items, the properties that are generated by loot, and the strength of these properties. It does not, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It simply gives players the chance to acquire better gear in earlier waves and is thus more valuable in early game runs than later ones because most players value greater weapon scaling and defense over damage gains.

In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the chance of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increase with each new level of item. These can also be increased by using anti-materials, such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, shields, and armor can spawn or be crafted using the Luck property, which has a default value of 40. These items can then be upgraded with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant an additional +40 Luck, or to increase the luck of an item, up to 140.

Furthermore, certain items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be used to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items are available from the shop, or they can be constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. Cash shop items can be used to boost the chance of success of an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their items if it does not work.

The rate of success of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations on the extent to which the success rates can be improved, and the overall chance of a failed upgrade cannot be greater than 100%..

The performance of an upgrades is also influenced by the luck of that item. All items have an overall success rate of 25 percent, and every item with Luck increases this chance by 5percent.

The upgrade overlays for items are rendered above items in the inventory. This could block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the item upgrader (via articlescad.com) CORE client config.
